Trevor Wins SILVER at Pan Am Jrs!!!!

On July 24th in Miramar, Florida, Trevor and Tyler toed the line against the best boys in the western hemisphere. After many attempts, the boys were going after their first international medal. It would not be an easy task as the 2010 World Racewalk Cup champion, Eider Arevalo from Colombia was also in the race.

The gun went off and Trevor and Tyler started off in the group going through the first km in a very conservative 4:18. After 6km's Trevor started to push and dropped everyone in the group except for Eider. Trevor knew going into the race that he had to try and push the pace early because Eider has a strong kick. Trevor dropped a few 4:00 km's and Eider was still there. It came down to the final 250m's when Eider put down a final sprint and Trevor could not respond. Trevor finished the race giving all he could as he weaved off the track. Even though he didnt win, he finally won a medal at an international competition, finishing off his Junior career on a high.

Tyler dropped off the group early, suffering from the heat and humidity which he is definitely not used to in his hometown of San Diego. Coming off of his strong race in Italy a few weeks earlier, he couldnt duplicate it however he finished in 5th place and finished his season eager for more next year.
