Tim Seaman is "Chasing Henry"

Preview: USA Indoor Track and Field Championships

This weekend four of our TEAMmates (Tim Seaman, Tyler Sorensen, Maria Michta and Lauren Forgues) will be competing in Albuquerque, NM at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Click here for the USATF preview of the meet.

Two-time Olympian Tim Seaman will be looking for his 43rd career national race walk title this weekend when he answers the gun for the men's 5,000m race walk. Seaman is a 5-time U.S. 20 km champion ('98, '00, '02, '04, '05, '09) and has won 11 of the last 12 U.S. Indoor race walk titles. Currently tied with National Track & Field Hall of Famer Henry Laskau with 42 U.S. race walk crowns, Seaman trails only Hall of Famer Ron Laird, who owns the most U.S. race walk national titles in history with 65.

2009 USA Outdoor Championships 20 km race walk runner-up Patrick Stroupe, and last year's U.S. 20 km third-place finisher Ben Shorey will attempt to keep Seaman from making history in Albuquerque.

The men compete on Saturday afternoon at 6:35pm and the women compete on Sunday afternoon at 2:15pm. Wish our TEAM luck as they will be trying to bring some hardware home!

Welcome!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to our new TEAM blog! We are a team of racewalkers who are striving towards excellence. Please follow us on here as the year unfolds.

Currently four of our members are training in Flagstaff, AZ where they have been for the past 2 weeks. Tim Seaman and Lauren Forgues are preparing for the USATF Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 27-28 in Albuquerque, NM. Trevor Barron is preparing for the Mexican World Racewalk Cup trials on February 28th and Rachel Seaman is just enjoying the altitude training with the group. Tyler Sorensen was able to make a short visit up to Flagstaff as well as Molly Josephs. Everyone has been able to get some good training in and is ready for their upcoming indoor races.
