On Friday, July 23rd, Trevor and Tyler competed in Moncton, Canada at the World Junior Track and Field Championships over 10,000m's. The race started at 12:20pm in hot and humid conditions. Both boys started off the race very smart and went at a conservative pace, following their race plan. They had Coach Tim trackside telling them their lap splits as they went by.
Trevor was about 40m's from the leaders, keeping them in his sights so that he was able to pick people off as they started to fall back. Trevor continued to get stronger and stronger as the race progressed and seemed to have been in a good position to be able to strike against the leaders but the top 3 boys put in a big surge and Trevor simply couldnt respond and catch some of the other boys infront of him. He finished in a very impressive performance of 41:50 and 7th place, a new American Junior Record by 32 seconds the highest placing ever for the US at World Juniors.
